I grew up in a very small, very mennonite, very UNhip town in rural PA. Though recently, only after falling in love and marrying Wes, I've discovered my roots are firmly planted there. The mysterious little house my school bus drove past every morning, we live there now.
I have two wonderful parents who raised me in a christian home with a lot of love AND a lot of church, which I both embraced and rebelled against, depending on where I was in my life. It's been a long road of learning and self-discovery but I've come to a place of peace in my heart, a peace that only God can provide. I'm a constant work in progress but I trust that I am in the hands of the ultimate handyman.
My most favorite things are creating anything, running anywhere, drinking too much water, pushing my limits and succeeding, wisecracks, sunshine on my shoulders, sincere smiles, insightful books, learning anything on nutrition, being stronger than you, lathering half a bottle of lotion on right out of a too-hot shower, being a part of nature and doing anything picture worthy even if its just taking a walk in the park.
I'm a tough cookie with a soft center. I don't like being told what to do and will probably do just the opposite if you try to. I'm mostly kind, sometimes ornery. I like to challenge the status quo.
I am a graphic designer by trade, writer by inspiration.
